THE RIDE LINE HISTORY
In 1983 Russ and Richard Wassell founded the SFV Chapter of Gold Wing Road Riders Assoc (GWRRA). Wanting to establish an institution where everyone could ride any type of Bike, Richard founded TRAC (Touring Riders Association California). To populate their events he started a recorded phone message of all the club's upcoming events. Soon other clubs and organizations wanted to post their events on the message...
The Ride Line was born.
Richard left TRAC in 1987 to promote Motorcycling in Southern California, (D-37). With his recorded message and a makeshift trailer that folded out into a display of flyers for all upcoming events... he hit the So. Cal Motorcycling Scene every weekend. He traveled from San Diego to Bakersfield promoting The Ride Line.
In 1997 Richard passed away. During his funeral, attended by some 400 motorcyclists, Brian Wassell announced that he would continue his Dad's Legacy -
